Keeps a level playing field between us and US investors I guess. If I were a US investor and wanted to buy at the lowest possible price, I'd be pretty pissed if Aus investors had 10 days to buy up with BNYM and then have to buy at a much higher price. Won't affect the long termers as it will still rise, and less likely to be pumped and dumped by traders.
