I have to ask why Wah Nam has ended their bid?
If they wanted to slowly bore people into selling /accepting they would have kept it open for the full 12 months.
These are potential reasons:
1) Realised they are not going to get acceptances from other shareholders for current bid. Will make a new better offer to shareholders after discussions with the board.
2) Facing pressure from thir own falling share price from associates and others. Needs to start looking for potential sale of their stake in BRM so they show a profit. Needs to push up share price to sell at premium to this. If BRM rises WNI will rise as well.
3)Realised that offer will not attract any more acceptances. Want BRM board to get on with things and increase the value of the BRM share price which will help WNI share price.
Are there any other reasons you can think of?
