No worries and pointless to go round in circles. I do not beleive that the vessel will have started the survey by 15th May.

When 15th May rolls round and survey has not begun just take note and perhaps use it for future reference when guessing time scales in the oil and gas industry.

Reasons:

Unlikely vessel will finish in Norway on time
Unknown weather conditions
Refuel and resupply stop (at least once)
Possible need to recalibrate survey equipment
Possible mini refit needed if going from Cold to Hot Climate
Paperwork to be completed
Chase boats and other support vessels needed for the survey

The start date is irrelevant anyway in the big scheme of things I just wanted to highlight how wildly overoptimistic the May date is as per your original statement:

"I agree that the share price will trade above 8c before announcement from Shell. Shell could easily announce by end of May"
