This will be interesting from a merchant point-of-view, as we currently accept Zip at my workplace.

When Zip was first introduced as a payment method in our shop, it was clunky & to be honest - a real pain in the ass anytime a customer decided to pay via Zip...

We'd have to open up a web browser, fill in all these duplicate details of the customer, the order reference, order amount, send the link to the customer, they'd have to mess about on their phone with confirmation codes, then we'd have to refresh our browser, once payment was shown as "authorised" by the customer, we'd have to remember to physically click "process" at our end, then run it through our own POS system again to finalise it all.

This then improved significantly when Zip updated their back-end system so that all that was required from us was to login to the browser, enter the "order amount", have the customer to provide us with an "instore code" and click one button & it was done... Still a few steps to process, but a huge improvement on the previous method.

If, we can now accept ZIP payments through our existing EFT terminals via tap'n'go.... wow, that would be awesome! Both for the merchant, and the customer....

    Very interesting.
