The immortals thing was just a promo for a footy magazine wasn't it. I would rather see them stick to a hall of fame recognising all the high achievers. How do you separate the skills and achievements of blokes from different eras.
But if I had to pick one from that list Duncan Hall would be a shoe in (as a kid I used to play in Duncan Hall footy boots ()).
As an aside, I rate future hall of famer Billy Slater so highly not only for what he does with the ball but also what he does at other times. Here is some analysis of another reason why Lionel Messi is such a brilliant soccer player. I reckon there is a touch of Messi about our Billy the kid.
