What I find amusing is the hypocritical approach apparently being adopted by the NSW and Queensland Governments in demanded compensation for lost royalties (presumably to reflect the extent to which the war in Ukraine is causing havoc on global energy markets) in exchange for a price cap on coal. However, the coal companies affected and their shareholders are not to receive compensation for their loss from the agreement!
