They have no interest in international price caps, and I also still cant see domestic caps anytime soon either, its easy to say cap the price but the simple question of who is paying needs to be addressed.
The feds are telling the states so that the cost to compensate the mines are the states problem, the states want the feds to do it so they states get compensated for lost royalties.
The miners can say I'm not selling you a single kg of coal unless its at market rates .. So my view is cap or not its not going to make 1 dollar difference to the miners. Its just who is going to pay the states or the feds.
I think they should all stop piss farting around and send everyone a $50 cheque in the mail for their power. Job done .
