The hypocrisy doesn't stop there. The simplest solution is for State and Federal governments to simply use all the windfall taxes and royalties to subside the power stations. Very simple. They recognize the windfall situation but feel they are the only ones entitled to be profiteering from it. They are the ones truly receiving the windfall, the coal companies have had to invest, take risks, take on debt and raise capital to dilute their shareholders over many years Bizarre greed and hypocrisy.
