According to Matt Canavan, the contracts are engaged years ahead (2-10 years) I'm waiting on a reply from NHC regarding the price they sell coal to domestic power plants, but I imagine it would be close to the $125 price anyway. Assuming a contract might be engaged, lets be conservative and say 18 months ago, that would give a international spot price of $125 AUD~. I assume the domestic price would have been much cheaper. As soon as I receive a response I'll post it here. On another note, it seems producers will be compensated by the government, so it appears that there should be 0 affect to NHC? correct me if I'm wrong. We'll know on Monday if the coal companies rally as we now have some certainty.
