I've not read all of the posts on this thread but has anyone mentioned the mild weather in Europe, or actually very warm Winter they are getting now... forecasters said this a couple of weeks ago. Yes it did start of cold, which may have led to energy generators over purchasing.
We are also just about halfway through Winter also (and past their Autumn).... So it could just be belated recognition by the market of these factors, There would also be time factors involved which other people would be more aware of than me... as in if they want to buy for peak winter, they perhaps purchase 6 weeks beforehand.
I am sure cash flows will still be extremely good going forward but of course the New South Wales government plans also come into it, which has been mentioned. Hopefully With likely dividends plus retained earnings, and some share buybacks , we will see a bottom not too far away.
