10 US soldiers, two Iraqis dead in Fallujah assault
BAGHDAD: The US military said that 10 US soldiers and two Iraqi troops have been killed since a major offensive to wrest control of the rebel-held city of Fallujah was started on Monday.
"As of (1530 GMT) November 9, there have been 10 US service members
killed in Operation Al Fajr (Dawn), as well as reports of two Iraqi security forces killed," it said in a statement released early on Wednesday.
Due to security issues, there were often delays in the reporting of casualties, it said:
