You must have missed the report which outlined the dire financial situation of this company. You can't always blame algorithms and instos... although it would be nice.
Running out of money, and off the cuff remarks about potentially having to sell assets, doesn't instil confidence in investors.
I would also suggest a company keeping a significant deal under wraps (as you suggest) would not allude to such measures. In fact, I would suggest they would be more measured in their report, as saying nothing is not the same as outlining the immediate and urgent need for capital.
Just my opinion. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
