Ha, I’ll add to this that if the “unnamed partner” or supplier was already online and producing, there would be no need to suppress its name.
If it is LNG Limited, then suppressing the name would make sense, so that LNG Limited could finalise other negotiations for the remaining 1.22 mtpa, which might be at higher than the Henry Hub rate.
Additionally, this might explain LNG Limited’s silence at the moment. If LNG Limited announced a deal at the Henry Hub rate with one party it might prejudice other negotiations that are happening in the background.
Therefore there would be valid reasons for LNG Limited not doing an announcement in respect of such a deal. If it would prejudice the company to announce, and if it would not lead to insider trading to withhold the news, the company can indeed withhold it. Read the listing rules.
