Shell's NWS interests would have nothing to do with FAR's leases if there a significant quantity of oil down there.
NWS is all about gas. Oil is a far more precious commodity and given a good resource, it will be developed in the near future.
The question should be: "Is there oil down there?", not "Will Shell exercise its option?". The latter is a given.
