Supply and demand will ratchet up in sync as each takes time. No new mines will be committing unless there is the demand (battery factories and downstream processors) and no downstream processing and battery factories will be built unless future supply increases are developed.
We're talking 10's if not 100's of billions of dollars but as long as the end product is attractive, viable and robust the market will keep on evolving.
The human race has to move towards green, sustainable energy for home and transport or risk being dragged into major armed conflict over future oil/fossil fuel reserves.
I personally see electric motor scooters being a big seller to the masses and don't forget the uptake of drones which rely on high energy density/light batteries.
We may have retraces and periods of disappointment to come but long term GXY and many other lithium producers look very promising.
