A family memeber runs a medium sized company and he hired a bloke to work in the storeroom. Bloke says " thanks mate, I've been out of work for a year, blah blah grateful etc" Some time later he found out that said bloke was pushing stock out of the loading bay into his mates trucks, so manager fired him for stealing - no charges. The bloke takes him to the tribunal for unfair dismissal which finds against the company ( didn't follow correct procedure!) so company had to pay the bloke back wages and a penalty.
Tell me who the unfair dismissal laws favour? Certainly not honest workers because this is one firm that will only hire casual labour from now on.
