Betting is one of the last bastions of this site, formerly run as the Hot Copper of old, where nonsensical arguing does not eventuate.

If it rarely does, it's usually tongue in cheek.

Would anyone like to fill me in what has happened here as back around 2006, I bet a carton of my favourite red over a stock (I think Republic Gold?) and I won. I think via HC or between us both, the bet was honoured and the case was promptly delivered. Huge kudos to the loser (a good bloke), although being an ex Mod in the years afterwards some law existed that prevented on-line bets being made.
