You can’t honesty think that a decision by amazon to replace their own very stable and solid fulfilment software with a little known product from Australia would not be huge news. This decision would have been headlines in the US. Front page of TechCrunch, Mashable, WSJ, to name a few. It would have been announced via internal email.
‘Dear Staff, we are excited to announce that we are abandoning our very own fulfilment software l that has worked smoothly for years and replacing it with a thirdparty from Australia. As a result we will be sacking 1000s of engineers as they are no longer required as GSW will be managing all of this for us, Globally’
It would be huge news that GSW is tracking and monitoring the millions of daily parcels delivered by Amazon everyday and to then have a rev share agreement with Amazon. Why would Amazon do this? GSW would have every major VC is the US knocking on their door wanting a piece of GSW and yet, silence. Management need to do all SH and potential SH a favour and come clean as none of this adds up.
