Copperstring is a huge boost for all miners and explorers in the region. Linking Mt Isa to the eastern grid will bring energy costs down immensely. Now I know we are faaarrr farrr from that, but it'll bring some major eyes to the region looking at long term mineralised assets.
Mt isa is run on gas fired Generation at the moment where prices have increased a lot, it will be even worse when the gas shortfalls are realised in 2026... This will bring a lot of cheap renewables to the region also.
