Going through the whole IPO process to list on Nasdaq is time consuming, costly and covered with red tape. Listing here first and then becoming dual listed on Nasdaq is apparently easier.

As to why Syntonic would want to list at all - at a later date if they wish to raise capital for expansion, they will be able to do so - is there a big picture here? Also I suspect that much of the motivation is so that current owners can unlock value for themselves as the stock market value public companies higher than private ones.
