100% Ownership for RIO

It would seem to me that RIO wishes to fully own ERA and by 2021. It looks like they intend to do this in 2 tranches:

1. Renounceable rights issue to for remediation costs .

2. Buy out minority shareholdings to make ERA a fully owned subsidiary of RIO.

I am guessing that this is perceived by RIO as the most cost effective way for them of gaining full ownership.

The renounceable rights issue could possibly be something like 4:1 at 20c to 25c per share. I would guess that the buy out would be more than 12 months after the rights issue, due to capital gains tax implications for minority shareholders. So guessing 1 (above) this year and 2 (above) late next year.

I don't see anything illegal in the approach by RIO!

As an aside, in my opinion I believe that the world needs uranium as an energy source, and, for medical treatments.

The Jabiluka area has historically been referred to as sickness country. It would seem to me that further uranium mining would provide a win-win for both the local community in (removing radiation sources and providing funding for Jabiru) and ERA.

My family currently owns shares in both ERA and RIO.
