So, as you pointed it out - as I hoped someone would - the only reason that Australia is a higher emitter than the USA per capita is because they generate large amounts of nuclear power.

So, of course we could drop our emissions by using nuclear also -------- but, there is a bit of green and fluffy opposition to that one.

Yes, I had a look. 256 million vehicles in the USA against our 18 million. Its a plague of motor vehicles.
Necessary curse I am told. Gave the car away a few years back.
The last hundred years has turned the planet into one big highway. Damn.
