5000 bopd is from one well. Based on the picture they provided, (post 3D seismic and NED-1) I'd say theres room for 5-10 such wells. Thats the oil. Not the gas. For gas, he is still talking a 250 TJ/day plant, so there must be shitloads of gas there. 250 TJ/day assuming min gets an export component will give you an ebitda of around 2-2.5B annual.
There is also another prospect to the south which also has the potential to be larger than Lockyer.
My sense is theyre going "slow" and low key on the energy front until the Govt makes a decision on gas export policy. MINs publicly stated argument is "if you want us to find gas, we need to be able to get bonanza prices for it, otherwise not worth risking capital to look for the stuff". So they have to play to this tune.
The Govt gas policy decision has been deferred to Sep 2024. That tells me maybe someone's pulled some levers to maybe give time for some corporate transactions to take place in the meantime. Its an obvious playbook.
