I hope that he doesn't cancel TonEdi. The US needs a clean result as a bit of a benchmark for other democracies to follow but this black swan is nothing anyone can control.

We can only lobby Governments to drive a no-panic facts campaign but will they listen?? Experts live in silos, there is no co-ordination between silos and thus there is no coherent planning.

There are antiviral combos that do seem to work on severe cases but finding "meaningful" news on these is like looking for needles in a haystack. Where are the announcements for fast track production?

It is the lack of a coherent message and the lack of coordinated planning (beyond isolation and lock downs etc) that will continue to send markets into meltdown. Equity markets don't like uncertainty or presidents who fence sit and /or spread nonsense conspiracy theories on this. Market analysis is of course another unconnected silo.

Impact on debt markets will IMHO be much greater because pipers generally need to be paid on time.

Equity stocks with reasonable balance sheets should be OK in the slightly longer term but its not hard to predict where the debt junkies will go.

    cheers
