So really we are just returning to the status quo.
It is clear that these 1000 year old forest didn't grow in a week or two, so the 'norm' is that that area should not be under ice but be heavily forrested.
Was anybody complaining about the artic circle getting colder than normal when the ice encroached on these pristine forests & what did they do about it?
