I am aware that you asked Priest the question, but I thought I would add what I read today.

In today's Eureka Report, on Page 9, Tom Elliot, a director of MM&E Capital wrote "Separately, regarding the outstanding Zinifix bid for Allegiance Zinc (I think he meant Nickel), there were rumours last week that someone was having a look at it but again, they were just rumours. The chinese company that owns 12% of Allegiance has said that it wont sell into the bid. Zinifex has said that its bid of $1.10 was final. So if it stays listed there is always a chance that it will go higher but it's more likely that $1.10 is going to be the best you'rr get".
