I wouldn't be surprised if companies some times give in to pressure from institutions to resist highlighting positive announcements so as to keep the SP low and allow that insto to accumulate. It's all part of the capping game. When it suits them you will find that everything, even the slightest positive things will be released as separate announcements to drive the SP up.
