I feel that an investment in a nascent green energy stack would be a cool present for an 18yr old ... he/she may be underwhelmed with something mainstream like BHP or a bank.
I feel they have a very simple, deliverable business plan to commercialise a small scale ucg fuelled 40MW power plant in Qld and more involved development plans leveraged of that success. The CEO is well regarded internationally in this field. There is a lot more if you have the time to research it.
