AVA has around $19m cash in the bank now, with $3.5m coming from coal asset sale and another $1.6m coming from Ian Middlemas when he gets appointed as the Chairman at the upcoming EGM.
This is about $24m cash and a bit under 200m shares on issue. That gives the shareholders around 12 cash backing and a clean shell with the right board imo.

I find it amazing to think that i can buy this much cash and someone like Middlemas at a discount.I can understand a cash discount if the board is weak (we dont have that imo)
(the greater the cash amount, the better chances one has to buy a fantastic growth asset at the moment)
I remember his stocks after the GFC and the absolutely magic run they all had when the market turned. I would suggest his stable of stocks were easily one of the best performing groups of stocks listed on the ASX, with 2 companies hitting around $1billion market caps at some point.
Everything is priced at a discount because the market has gone hunting all the obvious short term gains in the blue chip rally. The analysts are all saying the say old stuff.(get out of resources because China is over..really?) I am buying this because i think no one wants it, its cashed up and has the right board. Nicely set up for a better future imo. I could only dream of buying this stock for this pirce in a half normal market. pl dyor as these are my views that i have gathered via my own research.
