In the pre-auction, you are just offering what you would buy/sell at.
An algorithm takes all this to determine the actual opening price.

If your buy offer of 6.9 is still above the determined opening price when it eventually opens at approx 10:10am (not sure if exact time, check ASX site for details) then your order will be placed.

If the opening price is determined to be above your buy order, your order won't be placed, but will be in the queue.
If the opening is equal to your buy order, then it just depends on who placed their order first, until all possible buy-sell matches can be made.
