Yes sorry i didn't explain myself. NSAIDs are one of the most commonly used pain relief and 'anti-swelling' medications on the market. The market size is enormous.
The biggest side effect of these NSAIDS is the fact that they can erode the stomach lining and cause dyspepsia and ultimately ulcers.
I couldn't quantify the number of patients who have surveillance gastroscopies for ulcer disease related to NSAIDS. It's huge.
The linguet technology has the ability to transform the manner in which we deliver NSAIDs. Oral absorption rather than gastric absorption could revolutionalise the NSAIDs market and conseqently put a lot of gastroenterologists out of work!
My guess is that you'll see a big pharma company who's patents for their NSAIDs are expiring, waltz on in and make a handsome offer of alliance with Imugene for their linguet technology.
Big money to be made. I'll be watching this space closely.
