re: games on cvn Is it possible that it is a genuine buyer/s taking a big stake, but wanting to keep the price as low as possible, in other words strategic buying, and not necessarily manipulation of the SP (or is this merely semantic). After all is said and done, there was some serious buying today.
Wouldn't be surprised to see cvn hit again next week in similar fashion. As Mohammed Ali said, 'hit and run, and you live to fight another day".
For the oilers with a wider stock perspective, an interesting little surge in the NWE price today. A foretaste of another imminent rally perhaps.
