Google historical mines Yorke Pen. You should find Mindat and it will highlight the old minesites. As other posters have mentioned the cornish and other oldtimers left a lot in the ground. They were only chasing the high grades as they were doing it by hand. There would be a halo of lower grade ore near the thick seams they were mining, in modern times its all economic.
The actual copper triangle of Moonta, Wallaroo and Kadina, would still have plenty there, however there will be a few elephants to bag elsewhere on the RXM leases.
