In the interview i recall that there would be a logistics issue with mucking around with the iron oxide, as it will be impacted by the mine rate for copper and gold. Would be better off just to mine the tailings later and get a consistent and known feed.
To be honest just write off the iron oxide part of the equation. Its not economic/scaleable atm.
