    I see your point JUSTBOB,

    yes they can pay dividends... they have cash in their fund to pay dividends from. But most people would rather be paid dividends from the company profits - because this is a sustainable option.

    By paying a dividend, WAA have decreased their cash pool, hence they have less money to utilise in any uptrend in the market. That means less return on initial capital employed. They're taking it cautious, which is not what WAA investors had in mind.
