I am sure most WAA investors are glad they took the cautious approach & conserved capital when many other LICs lost money.
Geoff Wilson is cautiously optimistic for 2012, prediction a rise in the overall market in the vicinity of 5%.
They have recently increased their exposure to the market & will continue to do so as things improve.
If the market gradually rises their dividends will be more than covered by their profits & from an investors point of view it is the dividend that matters. The share price is only relevant if you wish to sell & that makes you more of a trader than an investor.
Geoff always has his investors best interests in mind & is always open to receiving any suggestions. He knows many shareholders are dependent on receiving those dividends & WAA will continue to pay them as long as franking credits are available & the company remains solvent.
His method of investment is ensuring that WAA does remain solvent.
