Hi Manila Not sure how you have calculated the yield but at this stage the level of future Div are forcasts by analysts as I am not aware of the new merged entity giving any forward estimates of divs.
However I have read two analysts reports and they have forcast divs between 36 and 38 cents fully franked so based on those forcasts the yield is very attractive.
We might however have to wait to see if those forcasts are correct before we see any real surge in the SP so we could be in for a bumpy ride for a while given the volatility in world wide markets and concerns over a possible slowing in our economy as a result
Imho with projected yields plus franking credits and possible cap gains makes this stock a good punt
