ICU and deaths tend to happen later in the infection, so if we are picking up new infections after say 5 days that's still early during the course of the infection.
a few of the people who have caught it are >60, I'd be surprised if a couple didn't end up hospitalised.
I've managed patients in ICU with covid early last year, it's not always the old and sick that end up there.
