All I commented on was that you have mentioned "8m" tons and "16m" tons when a Collins class submarine only weighs all up about 0.0033 m tonnes or 3,300 tonnes.
I have said nothing about any belief if they should be built here or not. By the way the american aircraft carriers weigh about 0.1 m tonnes so you are out by about 3 orders of magnitude.
