PERTH, WA: DEPARTMENT 13 INTERNATIONAL LTD (ASX13) (“Department 13”, “D13” or “the Company”), a cutting-edge developer of counter drone technology, announces the following Board composition update.

Gavin Rezos will retire as a non-executive Director at the end of the 2017 Financial Year being Friday 30 June 2017, but will continue his involvement with Department 13 thereafter as an advisor to the Board on matters of strategy.

Mr Rezos’ experience in start-ups, commercialisation and financial markets is now complemented by the recent appointment of Sydney based Director, Tim Davies, who has significant successful commercialisation and funds management experience. Mr Davies previously worked as an associate director with Goldman Sachs, and a portfolio manager with Ellerston Capital and Caledonia Investments.

Commenting on Mr Rezos’ tenure as a Non-Executive Director, Department 13 Chairman and CEO Jonathan Hunter said:

“Gavin has provided valuable advice to the Board and the Company through start-up to commercialisation. Going forward, we are pleased that we are able to continue to leverage his skills, experience and network in an advisory capacity on strategy.”

Gavin Rezos added: “As I’ve enjoyed assisting in laying the strong business foundations for long term growth, I look forward to continuing to support D13 as it ramps up sales of the cutting-edge MESMER Counter Drone Solution and begins commercialising its other network communications technologies.”

Fixing anything that's on the nose to shareholders is a good thing, being too money hungry at the expense of shareholders and the business has its consequences!
