Long waiting times for electric cars - VW Golf (Rabbit) already sold out for 2018
Car manufacturers are unable to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles. For example, the VW E-Golf is sold out for 2018. Although Volkswagen wants to double production to 70 cars per day, the delivery time is currently eleven months. It takes a similarly long time for the Hyundai Ioniq Elektro, Smart Fortwo ED and Smart Forfour ED models. Seven to eight months delivery time is required for Renault Zoe, Nissan Leaf, Citroën C-Zero and Peugeot Ion. The BMW i3 will be delivered to the customer after four months, the Tesla S and X models after three months.
