I think Kincella is on the money. He refers to the real productive private sector on which the system is based. We pay the tax that incubates the rest of the economic activity that is collectively called "the economy". That 45% of the govt receipts in total is welfare tax payers, public service tax payers and real economy tax payers combined.

Private sector taxes go around and pay the welfare and Public Servants which in total make the business and petrol revenue possible too. Some of the business profits end up taxed and they would not be there without welfare consumers and public service consumers in the mix. Zip no company profits the market would be too small.

That makes most of the tax take dependent on the private sector isn't that obvious. The private sector also accounts for the export profits which are taxable so a good portion of the company taxes. Without real tax payers zip no economy.

Kincella is right and you can Bull Dust & spin the accounting as much as you like if you want to keep your head where the sun does not shine and be a dim wit all your life.

Leftie socialists do not understand the basics of production being at the heart of the economy. They just want to be at the receiving end like union officials. Sit at the top of the pyramid. Of course we need a public service but not one this big. Some of this is well spent I do not argue with welfare either but understand Kincella for goodness sake.

Real production in the real economy - private sector - is the life blood the rest is derived from so 12M tax payers - yep I get you Kincella well said. Take out the public service component and adjust around the edges if you wish for exports but his comments are correct even if the numbers can be cherry picked and twisted.

The ALP supporters get too technical and end up running around in ever decreasing concentric circles until you disappear up your own ALP.
