Imagine Australia's 12.3 million taxpayers as just 100 People
I am pleased to launch '100 People', an innovative online ATO presentation which shows Australia's 12.3 million taxpayers as if they were '100 People'. '100 People' uses information from Taxation statistics 2008-09, which is a summary of tax returns, and other tax data for that financial year. The purpose of the '100 People' concept is to provide an easy-to-understand and entertaining insight into the taxation system, using statistics to create a representation of the community as if it was just one hundred people. '100 People' is a good way for people to get a greater appreciation of how our community is represented in our tax system and also allows people to see how their personal circumstances fit in with everyone else's.
