I won't be loading up on gold, even if property took a back seat for a while you can live in it or rent it out. People need property, they don't need gold.

Gold does nothing but cost insurance and storage.

The notion that it can go anywhere with you is pretty tricky, they x-ray bags these days and if you've got a chunk of gold you can bet you're going to pay a visit to the customs counter for a rummage.
As for gold coins, they're for the retail mob, the suckers.
