Hey TS....i have used cmc for around 2 years but never used IG...cmc have a decent Dow cfd with a 5 point spread and a s&p500 cfd with a 1/2 point spread which do seem to track the underlying indexes well...all there index cfd's are 1% margin...my main problem is there aussie200 cfd which is loosely based on the XJO index and the spi futures, making it at times blo0dy frustrating to trade as you will see the index move 4/5 points (happened today) yet there spread wont change .....that is why i asked you about the IG setup because im after a product that mimicks the actual index itself as its hard enough at times to pick the direction without any other factors to consider.
I mainly trade intraday using a 5 & 2 minute chart with rsi/macd and 10/20 ema mainly looking for divergence setups confirmed at times with the ema cross...there was a perfect setup today when XJO hit its high around 1.35pm on the 2min chart.
