OK, so to-date they have recovered 492.5 carats from 2,320m³ of gravel, or 1 carat per 4.71m³. The other day I explained how I derived at an alluvial target area of 7,572,050m², and since the Calonda formation is typically 1m wide, my revised alluvial diamond estimate is now 1,607,650 carats.
If you're interested in probabilities, the chances that today's 131.5 carat diamond is the largest alluvial diamond on the Lulo concession is 1 in 3,264.
