The entire software market is moving to a sunscription and clojd offering model to be generic
Not just logistics but traditional stone and mortar software companies are having to re create themselves to remain competitive and flexible. Look at oracle for one where they no longer even comp their sales people if they close an on prem software deal, its all focused on cloud: meaning pay per user and consumption based.
While gsw is transaction based same applies
So yeah every competitor gsw has big or small will have a pay per transaction model because its the way every software company is going.
If you arent happy with it just turn it off, thats the promise of pay as you go subscription license model. Its meant to really ensure customers are not getting locked into shitty contracts where results arent being delivered
Gsw hasnt got a sales team, do i wonder how much longer they can keep growing at the rate they are. Someone needs to be driving brand awareness and opening up doors... wonder who is doing this for them now, as an early mover you want to quickly take advantage of your leading position
