    Yes, ranges can repeat and there are cycles etc., and I would suggest that if a past peak is reached again it may be resistance, but that is different to expecting the market to exceed a prior price because of inflation or currency adjustment. Especially in commodities as they behave very differently to equities.

    At least that's the way I see it. I don't think it is something worth getting too worked up about though.
