Quartz Well (E51/1246)
The Quartz Well project is located within the southern sector of the Peak Hill district some 60km east northeast of Meekatharra. The project covers an area of 224km2 and extends over a strike length of 20km covering sedimentary rocks of the Yerrida Group and extending, in the southwestern corner, onto the Yilgarn Craton. There is extensive sheet wash and alluvial cover in the western and central parts of the project.

Alluvial gold has been recorded at seven locations with several locations known to be associated with gold bearing quartz veins. A 116oz gold patch located in the northern portion of the project extends over several hundred metres to a shallow pit excavated in colluvium. Reconnaissance soil sampling over this area identified gold in soil anomalism that as yet, has not been tested.

The extensive alluvial gold workings and sparse documented historic exploration over Quartz Well provides Rubianna with encouragement that significant bedrock mineralisation may occur within shear hosted quartz veins and as sediment hosted gold ? base metal mineralisation in Juderina Formation units.

Archaean granitoids and greenstones are exposed within the Juderina Formation in the south western portion of Quartz Well. An untested magnetic anomaly exists beneath alluvial cover in this area which is located between 5 and 10km north of Doray Minerals? Meekatharra North Project, where high-grade gold intersections were recently reported at the Andy Well prospect. Initially, geochemical sampling is planned to test for gold anomalism throughout this area.
