'Mr Market' may be taking his cue from other international markets worried about the possibility of higher inflation and interest rates.
Investors may also perceive that APE has had sales and profit gains 'priced in' but car sales continue to do well. Hence one can foresee another good rise in profit on the horizon, and the prospect of another sizeable dividend.
Markets aren't always correct and can at times be irrational.
